Birthday Trip
For my birthday last weekend, we drove up to the West Highlands to Mallaig. I ate lots of seafood and Andy had a chance to try out his new camera. However, due to a delay with a connecting cable, we don't have that footage yet. So, I will provide some stock pictures instead. Click on any of these to enlarge if you wish a closer look.
We took a steam train journey and passed over the viaduct that is in the Harry Potter movies. It was not the Hogwarts Express, but the same type of train. However, we did not splash out on the first class tickets, so we did not have a private carriage like Master Potter.
On our way back, we stayed at a place near the Strontian Hills. It was owned by a known psychic named Zoraya. We did not know that until we got there. No, she did not do any readings for us! However, her breakfast was fantastic.
We are hoping with this new camera that we will be able to make some short films for my You Tube account. I found a posting on there just now that gives an idea of what most of the driving was like. Just imagine it with a VW Polo instead. Just click or paste in your browser

Looks lovely. The boys are thrilled about you guys going on the "Hogwarts trip" :). The one lane road you referenced looks nerve wracking, though.
