Many Miles Away....
Many miles away there's a shadow on the door of a cottage on the shore of a dark Scottish lake....
Well, it is not so many miles away, the shadow was me, and it really was not dark, because it is summer. However, I have been looking for a reason since 1983 to use that lyric and this is as close as I may ever get.
This weekend, Andy took me to a B&B on Loch Lomond for a quick birthday getaway. We have been there many times before; however, I have never shown pictures to anyone. This time won't be an exception as we did not take the pictures. The professionals are so much better at it, as you can see from the lovely advert above.
We were in the cabin that is furthest in the picture. It had lovely doors that looked upon the loch.
It was wonderfully decorated. I normally don't care about such things, but I thought I would include a picture anyway.
They also have a place for small planes to land so one can watch them take off , as well as arrive. Now you definitely know I did not take these pictures. I would never be able to produce anything like that and if I did, my finger would probably be over the lens.
We even met some of the local folk, though they are friendlier than they look.
Next Week: Don't tell the director I said so, but are you safe Miss Gradenko?

It looks really lovely, Kim. It must be amazing to be able to travel to such diverse places so easily. We losing so much of this in Florida. Anything remotely beautiful is immediately suffocated under a blanket of development.
Yeh, it only takes about 40 minutes to drive there. We are thinking of relocating towards that way, but obviously not as far out....
